Majestico's Story

Majestico is a 2008 Bay Arabian Stallion. He was chosen from many of the most accomplished Arabian halter horses showing throughout the world, by popular vote of the Arabian Professional and Amateur Horsemen's Association members, to receive the highly coveted APAHA Halter Horse of the Year Award for 2016.  There is only one horse who receives this honor each year, distinguishing Majestico as truly a Horsemens' Horse.

He has multiple national halter titles: 2011 Canadian National Champion Futurity Colt( High scoring halter horse of the show), 2011 US National Top Ten Futurity Colt (3rd place with a first place vote), and 2016 Canadian National Champion Stallion.

He comes by his quality and beauty naturally, because his sire is the Multi National and World Champion Marwan Al Shaqab, the most famous living Arabian stallion in the world, and renowned international sire of World and National Champion offspring in halter and performance disciplines.  Majestico is perhaps one of Marwan's most look alike sons.

Majestico's dam, La Vida Lloca is a National Top Ten Junior Halter Mare, sired by the great Concensus++++//, a US National Champion, with 14 National titles in open and sport horse halter, and under saddle.  He is a National Champion sire of horses in a variety of disciplines.

Please refer to the Pedigree Research on this website, created by Arabian bloodstock expert and historian Arlene Magid, for detailed information about Majestico's ancestry.  It is worthy to note that within the first six generations of his pedigree, 54 of his 63 ancestors are either National winners themselves or producers of National winners or both, in halter and many performance disciplines.

Majestico is a modern style Arabian who combines extreme Arabian type and quality with well balanced conformation and athletic ability.  He has a beautifully chiseled head, and a long, shapely neck, set onto a well laid back shoulder, along with a short back, strong coupling, and powerful hindquarters. He is a true "three circle" horse; a halter horse who can perform too, like they did in the old days.  His movement is bold and cadenced and he has strong hocks and moves well under himself.  This is illustrated in the video of him running free on this website. He is extremely intelligent, charismatic, and has a great disposition.  As an added bonus, Majestico has a fine, silky coat and luxurious mane and tail that contribute to his breathtaking appearance and show ring presence.

A couple years ago we had a very special occurrence, that may be Majestico's greatest honor:  His then trainer received a telephone call from the legendary and esteemed retired judge, Peter Cameron, to compliment him on what a beautiful horse Majestico is.  This was prompted by the full body photo of him that Judge Cameron had seen in one of the trade publications.  That initial call led to a second call, and then motion videos sent to him for further review and inspection, resulting in his granting permission for us to use his comments about Majestico in our advertising materials.  I had the privilege of talking with Judge Cameron, and got to personally hear his accolades and endorsement of Majestico and his comparison of him to the noteworthy stallions he had discovered when judging....a truly unforgettable experience.

Majestico's foals are young, with minimal show ring experience.  His oldest purebred son, HF His Majesty (x Falcon daughter), was lightly shown in 2018 as a Junior Hunter with good success.  His Majesty is a beautiful 2014 gelding with a fluid, ground covering trot.  He stands just over 15- 3 hands, and despite being so large, is very refined and elegant.  Another of Majestico's sons, Macallan, will be making his debut as a Half Arabian Western Pleasure Junior horse with Stanley White III in 2019.  Please refer to the Offspring section of this website for photos.  So far, all of his get have inherited his rich bay coloring, and "big hair".

My late husband, Doug Seward, and I were Majestico's breeders. He was Doug's favorite of the horses we have bred;  it could be said that Doug was his biggest fan.  While Doug got to experience Majestico's Futurity wins and see his first young foals, he passed away after a courageous seven year battle with cancer in 2015.  Since then, I have refocused my energies; my goal is enabling this stallion to make his deserved contribution to the Arabian breed.  While advocating responsible and purposeful horse breeding, I am hoping to get more of his foals on the ground. As a small breeder with only a couple of mares, I am eager to discuss opportunities for this with fellow breeders.

Majestico is standing at Gordon Training Center, in Princeton, Minnesota with Bob and Val Gordon, where he is now  in performance training with Bob.  We aim to demonstrate that, like his illustrious maternal grand sire Consensus and the many great halter/performance stallions from the past, Majestico is more than a beautiful halter horse. He can sire beautiful and athletic offspring capable of excelling in both halter and performance disciplines.

Personal showings, a printed brochure with extended pedigree and additional information are available upon request.  I welcome the opportunity to talk with you about how Majestico may cross with your mares.

Sincerely,

Nancy Cowette Seward
